1. What you get

Access to Quirk and the projects in your plan, on your own devices.

The free plan gives you the gauge, every Tier 1 and 2 project, and three Judge the AI drills in each language. QuirkIDE Full adds all 202 projects, Dream a project, every Judge the AI drill, and every project we add to the bank later, for as long as your subscription runs. Your licence key works on up to three computers that you use for your own learning and projects.

These terms are between you and [business name and ABN, to be added before launch], an Australian business.

2. Your code

Everything you write is yours. Quirk never claims it.

You own the code, projects and files you make in QuirkIDE. We claim no rights in them. Some projects start with a few files from us. You may use those starter files in your own work, including work you sell.

3. Payments and refunds

A subscription you can cancel any time. Refunds within 14 days, no questions.

QuirkIDE Full costs A$9.99 a month or A$79.99 a year in Australian dollars for the first 100 members, who keep that price while they stay subscribed. After that, it costs A$19 a month or A$149 a year. If we ever change the price of your plan, we will email you before it applies.

Lemon Squeezy sells QuirkIDE for us as the merchant of record. It takes the payment, adds any sales tax your country needs, and emails your receipt and licence key. Your subscription renews each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel any time with the link in your receipt email, and you keep QuirkIDE Full until the end of the period you paid for. After that, QuirkIDE goes back to the free plan, and your code and progress stay on your computer.

Email us within 14 days of a payment for a full refund of it. You do not need to give a reason. The refund goes back to the card you paid with.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including your right to a remedy when a product has a major failure.

Lemon Squeezy works out, collects and pays any GST, VAT or other sales tax on your purchase, and shows it at checkout.

4. New and changed projects

The bank grows, and QuirkIDE Full includes the new projects.

We add projects to the bank over time, and QuirkIDE Full includes them. We may improve or retire a project. A project you already opened stays in its folder on your computer.

5. Using QuirkIDE

Learn with it, build with it, and do not resell our teaching content.

Do not copy or resell the project bank, the explanations or Quirki, and do not remove our notices. QuirkIDE includes open source parts under their own licences, listed on the licences page. If one of those licences gives you more rights, that licence wins.

6. Quirki's help

Quirk gives hints and explanations. It can be wrong.

Check important code yourself, above all code that handles money, passwords or other people's data. Quirk helps you learn. We cannot promise exam results, grades or jobs.

7. Children

A parent or guardian buys QuirkIDE for anyone under 18.

If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must buy QuirkIDE and agree to these terms for you. See children in our privacy policy.

8. Privacy

What Quirk learns stays on your computer, and we never sell it.

Our privacy policy explains what Quirk collects and how you can see, export or delete it.

9. Our responsibility

We stand behind QuirkIDE as far as the law requires.

We provide QuirkIDE as a learning tool. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits or lost data. The Australian Consumer Law guarantees still apply. [Full liability wording to be added after legal review.]

10. Stopping and changes

You can stop at any time, and your code stays yours.

You can stop using QuirkIDE whenever you like. Removing QuirkIDE leaves your project folders where they are. If we change these terms, we will date the change on this page. These terms follow the law of Victoria, Australia.
